National #TrustLeaders COO Network

20 July 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Our final National COO network for this academic year will take place online on July 20th 1-4pm. We would encourage all our current COO network members to join us for this session as we have an important announcement to make about the network sessions for the next academic year.

This session will focus on key operational and strategic challenges and opportunities for Chief Operating Officers currently. The first session will be led by Alice Gregson, Executive Director, Forum Strategy and will encompass an input around some of the current key challenges for education (and COOs specifically) including recruitment and retention, cost of living, technology and much more. This will include a facilitated discussion as a full network about current priorities and areas of challenge. Through this discussion, network members will get to know one another and find potential ways to support each other beyond the network sessions.

We will also hear from Luke Sibieta, Programme Director at the Education Policy Institute & Institute for Fiscal Studies, who will outline the challenges and opportunities ahead for you as leaders, grappling with the cost of living crisis and increased pressures on school funding; an area we know is of significant concern for leaders, given the times we are all living through. We will then be joined by Anita Sangot, Head of School Partnerships – South, Vivify Venues who will outline how Vivify support Trusts and schools with their estates lettings, exploring innovative ways to generate income that may then be reinvested back into the Trust as a result.

Wrigleys Solicitors will then join us as a final speaker to cover the main aspects of the recent Schools’ Bill and implications for Chief Operating Officers. Please note that Wrigleys are part of a paid partnership with Forum Strategy. Forum Strategy also chooses its partners based on their expertise, experience, and ethos.
