It is crucial that Chairs of Trustees continue to access the latest insights, developments and updates from across the system – and invest time in their own ongoing professional development.
All Chairs of Trustees whose CEO, COO and/or Education Executive is a member of Forum Strategy, are entitled to attend our termly complimentary seminars for Chairs.
This term’s event will focus on our recent think piece by Forum Strategy’s founder Michael Pain and international corporate governance expert Patrick Dunne, on what we mean by thriving governance in multi-academy trusts. The seminar will focus on issues such as the key characteristics of thriving boards, the relationship between the board and the executive leader, the interactions between other layers of governance – such as members and local governance committees, the board’s role in pure accountability, and much more.
This will be an opportunity for Chairs to reflect on some of the latest thinking, to consider what a thriving board means to them, and to share their perspectives with other Chairs from across the country. There will also be a sector update from Forum Strategy’s Executive Director, Alice Gregson.
