What is the #TrustLeaders CEO network?

Forum Strategy’s CEO network has now been running for several years, and has grown to become the leading network of education sector CEOs in the country. The network is chaired by Sir Steve Lancashire, Forum Strategy associate as well as founder and former CEO of REAch2 Academy Trust, one of the largest primary academy trusts in England. Our national #TrustLeaders events have attracted contributions from a former Prime Minister, to international academics and thinkers on executive leadership, and leading CEOs from across a wide range of sectors – including health, charities, and business. The network is independent and committed to the very highest standards of cross-sector, peer to peer learning for CEOs.

  • Termly online events, and two face to face events per year. CEOs can bring one guest to each online network session; the two face to face events includes our annual CEO national conference and the national #TrustLeaders symposium (for all those with active membership at the time of the events running). More information below.
  • The National #TrustLeaders CEO Conference (the next event will take place September 17th 2026 and open to CEO network members with active memberships on 17th September 2026);
  • The National #TrustLeaders Symposium (the fifth running of this now annual event takes place in June (3rd June 2026) and is open to CEO, COO and Education Executive members with active memberships on the date of the event)
  • Access to our regular online Members’ Breakfast briefings and Masterclasses;
  • Access to the members’ section of the Forum Strategy website, containing hundreds of resources – including videos, think pieces, case studies and thought leadership articles – for CEOs and executive leaders in the education sector
  • An annual ‘study visit’ opportunity to look at the work of a longstanding and impactful trust, through the prism of the 7 pillars of improvement at scale
  • Regular ‘reflect and connect’ sessions with peer CEOs, considering recent research or thought leadership, and to share ideas and practice on a particular strategic topic area.
  • A complimentary individual subscription to our weekly strategy and intelligence email briefing and our fortnightly funding and grants briefings. Please note that briefings are strictly for the individual recipient only and are usually sent during ‘term time’ only.
