The Ogden Trust is offering funding to secondary schools in its School Partnerships programme to support the cost of a trip to CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, for disadvantaged students in summer 2024.
To be eligible for funding, students must be eligible for pupil premium, the 16-19 bursary, or be a scholarship pupil at an independent school.
The Trust offers grants of up to £2,500 to support trips that give students the opportunity to learn about the physics research that is taking place at CERN, as well as meeting some of the physicists who work there.
The average grant per application awarded in 2022-23 was £1,352.
Previous members of the scheme can also apply.
The Ogden Trust will be hosting an application webinar on 21st February 2024 (3.30–4.30pm) to support potential applicants in making your application and planning your trip.
