This CEO network meeting will provide a unique opportunity to hear from one of the leading cross-sector thinkers on AI and its implications for public sector leaders and organisations. This is a major and fast-moving issue and priority for so many CEOs right across industries, and we want to provide you with the highest quality thinking and direction as you adapt to change. We’ll also consider the issue of retention of more experienced employees, and some of the key developments in the sector as we head towards the Summer break – sharing insights, intelligence and ideas between experts and colleagues.
This CEO network meeting will be Chaired by Sir Steve Lanacashire and will involve:
– The opportunity to hear from former Downing Street Special Project Lead, former military Chief Technology Officer, and visiting Professor at NMITE, James Khut MBE, reflecting on the ever increasing role of AI within our lives and the opportunities this presents for education and wider sectors. James will touch on his experience growing teams of AI and technology experts from scratch and how he built that capacity and capability without huge investments in outsourcing. He will also touch on the importance of schools and trusts building AI skills development into the curriculum so we can ensure our children and young people are prepared for the changing world of work ahead of them.
– A session from our partners at Wesleyan Financial Services on how we can help to retain great staff for longer through offering phased retirement options. Wesleyan will provide an overview of how phased retirement (and transparent communication of the options to staff) links to retention, offering you as CEOs, some different ways in which your trust might be able to offer this.
– Opportunities to hear about the current priorities and challenges of trust CEOs from right across the network, and to share with colleagues how you are responding to some of these issues too
– A reflection on what education and wider sectors are telling us about the big focal points for CEOs as we start to look and plan ahead to the academic year 2024/25. This session will be led by Alice Gregson, CEO, Forum Strategy.
Please note that Wesleyan are part of a paid for partnership with Forum Strategy. We also choose our partners based on their specific expertise and ethos.
