We would like to thank everyone who was able to join us at our third National #TrustLeaders Symposium in Nottingham – a truly unique opportunity to connect with one another and to share ideas, strategies and practice on the six underpinning themes of Thriving Trusts. It was fantastic to see so many of you there and great to see so many rich, in-depth discussions taking place around how we develop and sustain thriving trusts. We hope the connections formed on the day, will prove valuable as you continue to take the work forwards over the coming weeks and months.
The opening keynote of the day was delivered by Steve Munby, former CEO of the National College for School Leadership and of the Education Development Trust, and author of the acclaimed book ‘Imperfect Leadership – A book for leaders who know they don’t know it all’. Jane Creasy, a highly experienced educationalist, facilitator and systems thinker, was our facilitator for the day.

Throughout the day, we explored each principle from our work on thriving trusts. Our contributors provided a short input about their experiences and learning on each theme before we broke out into discussions on tables, offering delegates the opportunity to reflect on each principle within their own trust’s context.
