Are pupil numbers at risk of falling across your trust in the coming years? Do you have a plan in place to mitigate this challenge? Are you keen to lean from and share ideas and strategies with other trust leaders and sector experts?
Figures published from the Department for Education on pupil projections for the next decade, indicate a growing decline in pupil numbers leading into 2032. The number of pupils in primaries is set to fall by almost a fifth and whilst changes in secondary school pupil numbers are less, they will still likely be down by six per cent by 2032. What challenges might this present for trust leaders in future? And what mitigations might be brought in to minimise the impact?
Join us for this special members online discussion session exploring what impact we are already starting to see in some trusts and to discuss the ways in which these issues might be addressed. We will be joined by Phil Hedger, CEO of LEO Academy Trust and Nick Osborne, CEO of Maritime Academy Trust who will outline some of the changes they are already starting to see across their trusts and some of the solutions they have deployed to help to mitigate the impact. We will also invite perspectives from those attending as we seek to share where the impact is being felt and how the issues might be tackled. We will also be joined by colleagues from the NFER and EPI who will listen in and contribute over the course of the session.
