This COO network meeting will include a range of inputs from experts in areas we know are of particular focus and interest for operations leaders currently. This will include estates management, staff wellbeing and retention, legal and compliance issues and taking time to hear from an experienced cross-sector operations leader about their learning and reflections on how to get the best from the role.
This COO network will involve:
– The opportunity to hear from Si Yates as Operations Director of the charity Place2Be (and former British Airways operations and transformation lead) who will reflect on his experiences in executive operations leadership across a large charity (and formally in the private sector) and share his learning with the network. As Place2Be is a charity working closely with the education sector, Si will also explore how the role of COO in trusts, can play a pivotal role in forming partnerships that greatly benefit the trust and wider community
– The opportunity to hear from Dr Sharon Wright from The Learning Crowd, who will focus on how trusts can ‘do more with less’ when it comes to developing estates, sharing her learning and insights from working with multiple schools and trusts up and down the country on creating estates that best support learning and development. Fresh from the Education Estates conference, Sharon will also weave up any key updates from this conference for COO network members to consider
– A session from our partners at Schools Advisory Service (SAS) on the latest trends around staff wellbeing and it’s links to retention, considering how you, as COOs, can continue to shape and drive cultures that fully support staff health and wellbeing. We will also have a session from Wrigleys Solicitors, focused on the latest compliance and legal considerations for trusts.
– Opportunities to hear about the current priorities and challenges of trust COOs from right across the network, and to share with colleagues how you are responding to some of these issues too
Please note that SAS and Wrigleys Solicitors are part of a paid for partnership with Forum Strategy. We also choose our partners based on their specific expertise and ethos.
