This event is aimed at School Improvement Leaders and Education Directors who are named members of Forum Strategy, though other named members of Forum Strategy – including CEOs and COOs – are welcome to attend.
The session will include two items of pre-reading for your own reflections.
9.00am: Welcome and ‘What’s on yours and your headteachers’ plates?’ discussion – led by Frank Norris MBE
9.15am: Reflection: The current context for the sector; the main pressures facing headteachers and senior leaders, and how trusts are mitigating these and supporting school leaders to thrive – Frank Norris MBE
9.25am: The trust’s role in creating and sustaining a culture of support and empowerment for headteachers – Karen Burns, CEO, Victorious Academies Trust
10.00am: Shaping the culture, systems, policies for a manageable and constructive approach to complaints – Gina Donaldson, Rainbow Education Multi Academy Trust
10.25am: What does the research and best practice guides tell us about managing complaints effectively, including key legal implications – Alacoque Marvin, Wrigleys Solcitiors
10.45am: Next steps discussion and engaging with Forum Strategy – Frank Norris MBE and Michael Pain. Summer reading and reflection!
