Tell us about your career before becoming CEO
I spent ten years as a senior leader in one school and, in 2017, began consulting to support schools with leadership development and digital strategy. In 2019, I moved to a part-time role to expand my consultancy work while remaining within a school leadership team. Shortly afterwards, I was appointed as Regional Lead for the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber on the DfE’s EdTech Demonstrator Programme – an initiative providing peer-to-peer guidance and training to schools and colleges on the effective use of educational technology. In September 2021, I left my school role to focus fully on consultancy. However, in May 2022, I returned to school leadership when I was appointed Headteacher of Pioneer Secondary Academy, part of the Sikh Academies Trust, where I later became Executive Headteacher/CEO in May 2024.
