Endeavour Learning Trust – Governance and Compliance Professional
Location: North West
Job Start Date:
Closing Date: 14 July 2022
The Board of Trustees at Endeavour Learning Trust is looking to recruit a new Governance and Compliance Professional, to support the educational aims of this growing Trust.
Endeavour Learning Trust (ELT) is a small but steadily growing Trust in the North West, currently spanning South Ribble, West Lancashire and North Sefton. The Endeavour Learning Trust’s family of schools consists of three secondary schools and two primary schools, a Teaching School Alliance and a SCITT. ELT also run a further secondary school that will hopefully convert into the Trust in the near future.
The ELT family ethos is tangible; we work as a team; we want the best for everyone. But we are also staunch in our commitment to doing this in a way which protects the wellbeing of our staff and our students; our commitment to reducing workload is non-negotiable. Our behaviour policies enable teachers to teach and students to learn and we strive to ensure that our schools are communities of joy, learning and teamwork. We seek to thrive; individually, together, in our classrooms, staffrooms, schools and across the Trust.
To support this development, and in line with our current and anticipated growth, we are now seeking to appoint a Governance and Compliance Professional who can bring the appropriate attention to detail and pro-active organisational skills to ensure adherence to external regulations. This will enable our core business to be conducted appropriately, using and developing systems and controls which minimise our risk and add genuine value to the smooth running of our organisation.
We are looking for a committed individual who can bring the appropriate attention to detail and pro-active organisational skills to ensure adherence to external regulations.
The Governance and Compliance Professional will be responsible for:
- Providing efficient support to the Trust Board, Local Academy Councils and our School Leaders.
- Ensuring up to date processes and procedures in all areas of Governance and Compliance.
- Meeting with the Chair of Trustees, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Finance Officer on a regular basis to discuss governance matters and to ensure the service continues to effectively meet the needs of the Trust.

- The closing date for applications is Thursday 14 July at 9:00am.
- Interviews are expected to be held w/c 18 July.
Please note the Trust reserves the right to close the role early depending on interest.
Endeavour Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and we will check the suitability of staff to work with children. Applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and overseas police checks (where applicable).
