With 12 educational institutions across Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Halifax, and Oldham, South Pennine Academies (SPA) is an exciting and growing trust.
The trust was established in 2012 and has a distinct ethos that has equity, inclusion and diversity at its core. To achieve this, a key element of our work is the partnership and collaboration of our leaders and their academies, who all want to move in the same direction and create better futures for the families and communities we serve.
Due to the existing CEO stepping down into take a well-earned retirement, SPA is seeking to appoint a new CEO to lead us through the next stages in our development.
Our new CEO will be an outstanding strategic leader who is able to articulate the vision, values and ethos of South Pennine Academies and who will inspire and empower others to share in achieving them. The CEO will be a successful educational leader and will take responsibility for the performance of all Academies within the Trust.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about tackling inequalities in our society through high-quality education, ensuring communities have equal access to good schools for children from 2-16 years.
- Public hearted and business minded, with children at the forefront of every decision made, whilst ensuring children leave school with the tools and personal qualities to become successful adults.
The successful candidate will be tasked to lead the trust as we deliver on four key priorities; Strong and Effective Leaders, High Performing Staff, Successful Students, Engaged Community and, we have recently added a fifth priority to our strategic business objectives; Organisational resilience and sustainability.
