The Ogden Trust is offering funding to secondary schools in its School Partnerships programme (or have previously been members) to support the cost of a trip to CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, for disadvantaged students who otherwise would not be able to participate.
The Trust typically offers up to £100 per pupil (eligible for pupil premium or the 16-19 bursary or a scholarship pupil at an independent school) to support trips that give students the opportunity to learn about the physics research that is taking place as well as meeting some of the physicists who work at the facility.
Applications are now invited from schools in the Ogden School Partnership programme for funding towards trips to CERN planned to take place in summer 2023.
Previous members of the scheme can also apply.
