Organisations seeking to raise up to £50,000 with innovative ideas that benefit their communities now have an opportunity to apply for funding through Aviva’s Community Fund initiative. Aviva has partnered with the fundraising platform Crowdfunder to offer this funding to small charities, schools, and community interest groups in the UK. Eligible causes can apply for funding at any time.
Aviva is looking to support projects that boost community resilience in the face of uncertainty, with a focus on two key areas:
- Climate Action focuses on promoting healthy and thriving communities by preventing, preparing for, and protecting against the impacts of climate change.
- Financial Wellbeing aims to help people take control of their wellbeing by providing them with tools to become more financially resilient and independent.
To participate, the project must also be raising funds to develop a new approach, product or technology, pilot a new scheme, implement a new initiative, or expand existing services to a new area or beneficiary group. All beneficiaries must be based in the UK.
Once applications are submitted, applicants will need to create a fundraising page on Crowdfunder, which Aviva employees and the public can browse and donate funds to.
