Ashden, a climate solutions charity that supports projects in sustainable energy, has announced that the UK and international competitions for its 2023 Ashden Awards are now open for entries.

This year’s awards will support inclusive innovation in creating a fairer low-carbon world, tackling inequality, and empowering communities affected by climate change through employment, education, and training opportunities.

Categories include:

  • energy innovation,
  • land management,
  • community protection of nature,
  • energising refugees and displaced people,
  • and energy access skills.

The competition is open to businesses, NGOs, government organisations, social enterprises, and community groups, with winners receiving a cash grant of up to £25,000 and a package of supplementary support.
