DESCRIPTION:This COO network meeting will focus on key areas to support effective operations leadership in trusts\, providing a space for operations leaders to gain insights\, share experiences\, and explore best practices. With the ever-evolving challenges in education\, this session will offer expert input and discussion on the current education landscape\, the COO’s role in driving and measuring inclusion across trusts\, legal and compliance issues\, and leadership reflections from an experienced cross-sector operations leader. \nThis COO network will be led by Alice Gregson\, CEO of Forum Strategy\, and will involve: \n– The opportunity to hear from Emma Challans-Rasool\, who leads the NHS national network for operations leaders Proud2bOps who describe themselves as ‘an operational movement’ across healthcare settings. Emma will share her extensive experience in operations leadership\, reflecting on the key strategies that can drive efficiency and effectiveness across organisations and drawing upon her learning from leading a national network of operations leaders across the NHS. She will provide valuable insights into leading operations areas successfully while maintaining a strong focus on organisational culture and development. \n– A session from Nic Ponsford\, Co-CEO of The Global Equality Collective\, who will discuss the importance of inclusive leadership in operational roles. She will offer insights into creating equitable and diverse trust cultures\, ensuring that operational leadership remains a driving force for positive change. \n– A session from Wrigleys Solicitors\, focusing on the latest compliance and legal considerations for trusts. This will include key updates and good practices to help COOs navigate complex legal landscapes and maintain strong governance structures. \n– A session led by Alice Gregson\, CEO of Forum Strategy\, who will provide an overview of the current challenges and priorities facing operations leaders in trusts. This session will offer practical strategies and reflections on leading through complexity and driving operational excellence. \n– Opportunities to hear about the current priorities and challenges of trust COOs from across the network\, fostering collaboration and the sharing of insights on how leaders are responding to sector-wide issues. \nWith trust operations leadership playing a critical role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of trusts\, this event will offer an invaluable space for reflection\, discussion\, and forward-thinking strategy.
