SUMMARY:Members' Workshop - Developing and sustaining an effective employer of choice strategy
DESCRIPTION:Thriving Trusts prioritise having a clearly defined\, measurable\, and impactful employer of choice strategy. They reap the benefits of this in the way they are able to recruit\, retain and support their workforce effectively. But what makes for an effective strategy\, particularly in such a challenging context for recruiting and retaining our staff and teachers? And\, just as importantly\, what does an effective strategy look like in practice – and what can be shared about what has worked well? \nJoin us at this special members’ workshop to hear the latest research and intelligence and to learn from experts in their field about how to tackle the challenges and take a proactive\, future-focussed approach to becoming employers of choice. We will also build in plenty of time for some rich discussions and to hear your own learning and approaches in this area. \nAt this workshop\, designed specifically for trust leaders\, we will hear from \n– Alice Gregson\, Executive Director of Forum Strategy who will provide an extensive overview of the current context and latest thinking and intelligence in this area\, incorporating cross sector knowledge and learning. \n– Helen Stevenson\, Founding Director of Satis Education who will share her knowledge and learning from years’ as a leading voice and authority in recruitment and retention practice across education\, covering what has worked well in education recruitment and retention and what the future holds for the way in which trusts recruit and retain staff and teachers. \n– LEO Academy Trust’s Alison Day (Executive Lead for People Strategy)\, Kristen Hughes (Director of HR) and Dean Clark (Chair of Trustees) from LEO Academies Trust who have developed and continue to successfully implement an effective employer of choice strategy across their trust and will share their learning from this. \nThere will also be ample time for discussion so you can share practice and learn from others across the networks around how you are approaching your own employer of choice strategy. \nPlease note this event is open only to individual members of our national CEO\, COO or Education Executive networks.
