DESCRIPTION:We know that environmental sustainability continues to be a top priority for children and young people and that they see school as a key place to learn more about this and develop their understanding of the steps they can take to play their part in addressing climate change and ensuring environmental sustainability. As such\, we know this continues to be a leadership priority for you as trust leaders as you develop a trust-wide strategy around environmental sustainability. \nIn this breakfast briefing for members\, we will be joined by Climate Adapted Pathways for Education (CAPE)\, an organisation who aim to equip all teachers\, school and trust leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to empower children and young people to take climate action and protect the environment. As an alliance of researchers\, educators\, schools\, and organisations across the UK\, they are driven by a powerful mission that connects their vision for a sustainable future with a dedication to research-informed climate change education. \nProfessor Leigh Hoath and Heena Dave join the team at Forum Strategy to  reinforce the rationale for why it is so important to prioritise environmental sustainability within academy trusts\, but more importantly\, sharing their key insights on practical ways of doing so\, with a particular focus on curriculum and learning.
