SUMMARY:Education Executives National Network Meeting - Colwick Hall
DESCRIPTION:We look forward to welcoming members of our Education Executives national network to our second network meeting of the academic year\, taking place at Colwick Hall Hotel. This network meeting will provide a valuable opportunity for high quality learning\, networking\, and peer connection. The session will bring together school improvement and educational leaders from across the country together with their peers and with leading experts – including speakers from The Children’s Society and Co-op Academies. The network is Chaired by former CEO of Co-op Academies\, Frank Norris MBE. \nThe session will: \n–        provide a space for education executive network members to consider and reflect on some of the big policy announcements and developments of recent weeks. and the implications for their trusts – not least the changes to Ofsted inspections\, teacher and leader appraisal\, and the new government’s focus on curriculum reform. This session will be led by Frank Norris; \n–        consider some of the key issues and best practices for how trusts approach improving behaviour and attendance\, with opportunities to hear from expert practitioners and to share best practice across the group. These sessions will be led by Caroline Foster\, a former senior leader at the Co-Op Academies Trust\, and Pippa Goodfellow\, Director of Youth Impact and Policy at The Children’s Society will provide leaders with useful insights into the current landscape\, and potential ideas and strategies to take back to their trusts. There will also be signposting to useful resources; \n–        A session focused on one of the most profound challenges for academy trust leaders right now – staff retention. Alice Gregson\, CEO at Forum Strategy will share a range of insights and thinking\, not least the outcomes of a brand new paper from our CEO system leadership group on teacher retention\, and consider how education executives can lead and contribute to a positive workplace culture and high retention rates – ensuring our best staff stay with us and make a difference for long-term. \n–        There will also be time for Education Executives to network and connect with their peers more informally \nTo join this network meeting\, you must be a member of our national Education Executives network (our CEO and COO networks have their own network meetings in place).
