DESCRIPTION:It is crucial that Chairs of Trustees continue to access the latest insights\, developments and updates from across the system – and invest time in their own ongoing professional development. \nAll Chairs of Trustees whose CEO\, COO and/or Education Executive is a member of Forum Strategy\, are entitled to attend our termly complimentary seminars for Chairs. \nThis term’s event will focus on sharing the findings from our recent think pieces focused on how system leadership continues to evolve in education\, particularly when looking at this in relation to CEOs and trust executive leaders . The seminar will focus on the vital role of Boards in enabling system leadership and in particular\, in supporting CEOs to become involved in work that supports both the trust and the wider system. Sam Henson\, Director of Policy & Communications at the National Governance Association (NGA)\, also joins us to provide an overview of findings specifically for trusts and trust Boards from the NGA’s recently published School & Trust Annual Governance Survey 2023\, opening up discussion as to what these findings might mean for Chairs and their Boards. There will also be a sector update from our CEO\, Alice Gregson. \nThis is an opportunity for Chairs to reflect on some of the latest sector thinking\, to consider the role of the Board within this\, and to share their perspectives with other Chairs from across the country.
